About Eclogite

Eclogite (pronounced eck-low-jight) skin care was named after the metamorphic rock called Eclogite. Eclogite undergoes such a massive transformation that some geologists will actually tell you it has become a completely new rock resembling nothing of its former self. Hence the analogy with Eclogite skin care is that it will transform your skin.

Eclogite skin care was started in 2005 by Jacine Greenwood out of frustration of the poor quality products on the market. Jacine has been a Beauty Therapist since 1995 and a Registered Nurse since 1998. After doing extensive post graduate training, Jacine found that the majority of cosmetics and skin care contain ingredients that actually cause further problems to occur in the skin at a later stage. These ingredients include oils, esters, waxes or miscellaneous ingredients that are comedogenic or cause congestion in a combination to oily skin. Some of these ingredients can even cause problems for a dry skin.

Jacine also found that the majority of cosmetics in an attempt to remove fragrance from their products were inappropriately using essential oils which are contributing to the epidemic of pigmentation we now see occurring in skins. The oils which cause pigmentation are lavender, tea tree, orange oil, lemon oil, neroli oil, mandarin oil and many more. Natural companies will not tell their consumers this information.

Companies are also including allergens in their products.  Many consumers are unaware that they are buying a cocktail of potential allergens.  All of these allergens are listed on the label, but the average consumer does know that these ingredients are indeed allergens.  They just believe there skin is sensitive and there is nothing they can do about it.

Eclogite skin care was formulated without any of these ingredients to ensure your skin improves without further aggravation. Eclogite Skin Care are an environmentally conscious company and choose to not use unnecessary packaging with our products. We do not have boxes to put our cosmetics in. They are a misuse of our environment and everyone simply throws them in the bin after they purchase a product anyway.

Packaging that is used to cushion your goods in transit is recycled from the packaging we receive when we purchase ingredients.
