Natural Ingredients
Their is a growing trend of natural ingredients and "green chemistry". We choose to use ingredients that are pesticide free and also not genetically engineered. Eclogite are proud to include the following ingredients in our cosmetics that are Ecocert approved. Each ingredient meets the ecological and organic cosmetic standards as outlined by the French organization, ECOCERT.
Ecocert is an organization for the control and certification of organic agriculture, approved by the French Public Authorities. In existence for 15 years, it is represented in 80 countries. In the beginning, Ecocert was only approving food, but now they’ve expanded into finished cosmetic products. Now they are also approving raw materials for cosmetic products based on "Ecological and Biological Referential". The first principles of Ecocert validation are to approve raw materials from renewable sources or that have been transformed by natural manufacturing processes, which respect the environment. Ecocert equivalent organizations in Europe include: AIAB (Italy), BDIH (Germany), and Soil Association (UK), however Ecocert is the only European organization to give approval to raw materials for cosmetic products. Ecocert is the project leader for European harmonization.
We are proud to state that the ingredients listed below have Ecocert approval. For more information on Ecocert, visit their website at www.ecocert.com.
Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate: The formation of AGEs (Advanced Glycation Endproducts) is an indication of skin aging and extracellular matrix breakdown, which can ultimately lead to sagging and wrinkles. An in vitro study indicated that Saccharomyces Ferment Lysate was effective in protecting the skin against the formation of AGEs. Offers lipid barrier protection and repair; protects against environmental pollution and DNA damage; offers skin smoothing and firming properties; offers anti-wrinkle properties; ozone protection factor
Saccharomyes Ferment Lysate: Studies were conducted using a human dermal fibroblast cell culture. The results of the procollagen synthesis study confirmed that a 1% treatment of Saccharomyes Ferment Lysate promotes procollagen synthesis compared to an untreated control and is equivalent to the treatment of sodium ascorbate. The results of the in vitro hyaluronic acid synthesis study also confirms that, at a treatment level of 0.5% Saccharomyces Ferment Lysate, a statistically significant increase in hyaluronic acid synthesis occurs compared to an untreated control and cells treated with sodium ascorbate.
Anti-inflammatory; cell proliferation; soothing; anti-irritant; cell renewing; cell respiration; line minimizing; skin smoothing and moisturizing.
Betaine Salicylate: Improves fine lines and wrinkles; anti-irritant; evens skin tone; offers moisturizing benefits
Yeast Peptide: Firming hexapeptide; reduces appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; brightens complexion
Licorice Extract: extracted by a unique microwave technology which results in an extract which is paler in colour and free from organic solvent residues and preservatives. Licorice is an emollient, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and veinotonic.
